Audio restoration

Timeless Recordings studios are built around the restoration and preservation old audio and video recordings as well as film. After many years in the business we are confident to handle almost any format that is brought in (and we sure have seen a few weird ones). If you have an old recording on any of the following formats we can transfer them safely and at the highest standard available in Israel to modern audio CD or file of higher resolution (and of course dvd audio or video). Supported formats

Records:  any speed from 12 rpm to 122 rpm and any size up to 16 inches. We have more than twenty different diamond sizes to get into the groove and extract the best audio from it. Acetate and transcription records are no brainers for us. We have our own solutions to clean them from the white powder ‘till they are shinny new and ready to play.

Analog reel to reel: any format, almost any size, track count and configuration. You think the tape is stuck and gone? Does it screech on your machine? Does it ooze gooey stuff all over the heads? Give it to us and let us worry about it. Actually we won’t worry at all; we’ve been fixing these tapes for years and will gladly save your master as well. All our machines are aligned with fresh tape and cleaned to insure the highest transfer possible.

Cassettes: No need to elaborate on this format, aside from telling you that the transport of the tape makes a huge difference and we use the best available.

Oddball & Others: Wire, playtape, soundtape, 8-track, Philips el type, microcassette, minicassette (there is a difference) dictabelt, all can be restored and played into our digital workstation. As easy as apple pie.

Video restoration

8mm and super 8, and 16mm films can be transferred with ease.

Video: vhs, betamax, 8mm and hi8 betacam, ½” open reel, 1” c format and soon also 2” quad.
